Twitter Unveils New “X” Logo to Take the Place of Blue Bird

Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter, has unveiled a new logo to replace the well-known blue bird on the social media platform: a single letter “X.” On Monday, the X design began to show up at the top of Twitter’s desktop version. However, the outdated bird emblem was still visible in several places on the service. Musk declared on Sunday that he has chosen to alter the company’s emblem in a tweet. He claimed to have asked his millions of followers for logo suggestions and whether they would be in favor of the service switching from blue to black as its primary color. Musk responded, “Xs,” when asked what tweets would be termed in the absence of the blue bird insignia.

Since purchasing Twitter for $44 billion last year, Musk has made a number of changes, the most recent of which being this one. Approximately 75% of the company’s employees were let go by the billionaire businessman shortly after the acquisition was finalized. Musk claimed that the change was required to boost revenue and improve Twitter’s efficiency. In addition, he declared that Twitter users would now have to pay $8 a month to maintain a verified account. As CEO of Twitter, Musk also loosened some of the current limitations on user-generated content. He claimed that those modifications were a part of a bigger initiative to defend Twitter users’ right to free speech. His proposals, according to critics, are likely to increase the quantity of offensive and hazardous content that appears on the service.

User numbers on Twitter decreased as a result of Musk’s adjustments. Additionally, a few marketers ceased doing business with the company. Chief executive Linda Yaccarino announced on Twitter on Monday that “X is here!” Now let’s get started. She posted a photo of the emblem projected onto the San Francisco offices of the building along with her statement. Musk said, “And soon we shall bid adieu to the twitter brand and, gradually, all the birds,” in response to the logo change. According to Musk, customers are already being sent to Twitter.com by the X.com website.
