Chinese Balloon Is a Component of a Big Monitory Scheme

Diplomats from forty countries have met with US officials to exchange details regarding the Chinese spy balloon program. U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman briefed approximately 150 foreign ambassadors, according to a top U.S. official and diplomats. This week, 40 embassies hosted reports over the course of two days. The intention was to present American research on the balloon. The senior administration official stated, “We want to make sure that we are sharing as much as we can with countries around the world who may also be susceptible to these types of operations.”

The extent of the Chinese balloon fleet is still unknown to experts. However, American officials mentioned that multiple aircraft have been flying to Japan, India, Vietnam, Taiwan, and the Philippines since 2018. Technology from a private Chinese corporation that is a component of China’s military-civilian system was used in the activities. U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken was so incensed by the Chinese balloon’s appearance over the country last week that he decided not to go to Beijing. It was hoped by China and the United States that the visit would reduce tensions between the two nations. A U.S. Air Force fighter plane shot down the balloon off the South Carolina coast on Saturday, a week after it first entered U.S. airspace.

China stated that because of winds, a weather balloon had entered American airspace. Chinese officials said that the US was overreacting and denounced the shoot-down. On Monday, however, a U.S. official informed Reuters that the balloon was under control. “We saw it do that,” the official stated. It turned left and right. It moved through the jet stream in front of us. That was the way it was functioning. According to foreign diplomats in Beijing, the United States provided evidence to refute China’s claim that the balloon was used for meteorological research. According to the United States, it was an airship employed for espionage. The United States claimed that the People’s Liberation Army, the Chinese military, was in possession of the balloon.
