The Kremlin declared on Monday that Moscow will continue its special military operation in Ukraine until all of its objectives are met and that discussions on Kyiv’s peace proposals in Davos would be fruitless because Russia was not taking part in the talks. The world’s elite are set to prioritize negotiations to end the hostilities in Gaza and Ukraine when they gather this week in Davos, Switzerland, for the World Economic Forum. Among them are US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, French President Emmanuel Macron, and a few Middle Eastern leaders.
When questioned about the Davos debates on Ukraine, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov responded, “This is just talking for the sake of talking.” For the apparent reason that we are not taking part, this procedure cannot be intended to produce any particular outcomes. There is no chance of any results from any debates if we don’t participate.” Peskov called the Ukrainian position on forbidding discussions with Moscow “absurd” in response to a question concerning Russia’s stance on potential talks with that country. Volodymyr Zelensky, the president of Ukraine, has declared that all negotiations with Russia are prohibited. According to Maria Zakharova, a spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, peace negotiations won’t be successful unless the West lifts its sanctions against Russia.
Peskov stated that Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, will pay a visit to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea “in the foreseeable future”. It happened on Sunday when Choe Son-hui, Pyongyang’s top ambassador, landed in Moscow. The purpose of the visit is to further examine agreements made in September in the Russian Far East on a space launch facility by DPRK leader Kim Jong-un, when Putin pledged to assist Pyongyang in building satellites. All levels of discourse will continue. We anticipate hard and productive conversations,” Peskov remarked.
Adding value to the conversation in a way that’s as engaging as a flirtatious wink. Can’t wait to hear more.
