5,000 kilogrammes of ammonium nitrate worth K5 million without official documents were being carried by a Dongfeng truck (approximately worth K15 million) under the supervision of a combined team under the direction of the Kachin State Illegal Trade Eradication Special Task Force. On January 17, 12,640 kilogrammes of ammonium nitrate worth K12.64 million without official documents were being carried by the truck in Mokaung Township. The Narcotic Drug and Psychotropic Substances Law was invoked in the action.

Two Mitsubishi Fuso trucks, estimated to be worth K100 million, were seized by the combined team led by the Yangon Region Illegal Trade Eradication Special Task Force on January 17 during inspections. The trucks were carrying six different types of goods valued at K11.906 million, including 21 toy cars and 4,000 kilogrammes of toys that were not declared in the Import Declaration (ID). The measure was carried out in accordance with Customs protocols. At the Natthamee Yaytwin island in Myeik township, the combined teams under the Taninthayi Region Illegal Trade Eradication Special Task Force seized 370 kilogrammes of various illegal fishes and 850 kilogrammes of illegal Parkay fishes valued at K532,500. Additionally, at the Khamaukgyi, they seized 3.816 tonnes of illegal timber worth K572,520.
