NPC discloses the agenda items lawmakers will discuss

The most recent agenda for the 14th National People’s Congress’s second session was revealed on Monday at a press conference. The session is scheduled to begin on Tuesday and end on March 11. The agenda was approved on Monday at the session’s preliminary meeting, according to Lou Qinjian, the spokeswoman for the gathering. The report on government activities, the draft plan for national economic and social development in 2024, and the report on the implementation of the 2023 and 2024 plans for national economic and social development are all on the agenda for discussion.

 

According to Lou, the proposed central and local budgets for 2024 as well as the report on the execution of the central and local budgets for 2023 will be examined by national lawmakers. According to him, they would also discuss the bill presented by the NPC Standing Committee on assessing the draft adjustment to the State Council’s Organic Law. According to him, NPC deputies will also discuss the work reports from the Supreme People’s Court, the Supreme People’s Procuratorate, and the NPC Standing Committee.
